• Mill Garth Park has a 12-month residential licence and is for retired and semi-retired persons over 50 years of age with no dependent children.
• Homeowners will be issued with a Park Home agreement, which gives complete security of tenure for an indefinite period, all in accordance with government legislation. (The Mobile Home Act 1983 amended by the Housing Act 2004 and various regulations that have been introduced by statutory instruments)
• The City of York Council have numbered and registered the plots.
• Council Tax will be charged directly to you by the City of York Council, (similar 'park homes' are in band A - currently £782.47), however we are awaiting confirmation as to which band our lodges will be placed.
• Mail will be delivered directly to your door
• Refuse will be collected directly by the City of York Council.
• Residents will be able to register with the local doctors (at either of the surgeries in Bishopthorpe or Copmanthorpe)
• Gas is supplied directly from the mains therefore you will be billed directly by your nominated supplier.
• Telephone (and internet) will be charged directly to you by BT or your nominated provider.
• Electric is distributed around the park by the park owners therefore your meter bill will be invoiced to you in accordance with OFGEM
• Metered Water will be charged directly to you by Yorkshire Water.
• Note that the park is on mains drainage, however each lodge also has an underground 3000 litre tank for rainwater harvesting. To enable you to cut down on your water meter bill all the rainwater from the lodge roof and paved driveway is collected and stored, ready at the flick of a switch for various outdoor uses.
• All Lodges carry the Gold Shield 10 year warranty.
• Block paved driveways are provided to each Lodge.
• A brick built skirting is constructed to each Lodge.
• Each lodge is complemented by a landscaped garden.
• Unique timber decking provides each lodge with a spacious outdoor area.
